With the right voice, viewers know the male lead from his first line. These are the checks that help most when casting.
Heroine, male lead and narrator set the tone of the whole series. Cast those three, then pick supporting voices for contrast.
For two characters of the same gender, choose one bright voice and one low one, so viewers can follow who is speaking in an argument.
Many short-drama villains smile while they scheme; a cool voice with a hint of amusement often feels more threatening than a gruff one.
The narrator runs through every episode. A steady, warm storyteller voice stays easy on the ear across a dozen episodes in a row.
Chinese character voices keep their character when they speak another language. Generate a few foreign lines in the workshop and check them before a full batch.
AI Drama Voice's Chinese character voices run on multilingual speech models: the same voice keeps its pitch, texture and speaking habits whether it reads Chinese, English, Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese or Korean. Dub a series into several languages and viewers still hear the same heroine.

Native foreign voices are the other option. They speak only their own language with a more local accent, which suits a series made in one foreign language that should sound locally produced. For how each language handles forms of address and spoken style, see Thai dubbing, Vietnamese dubbing and Indonesian dubbing.
Note
Some previews are still being made. For a voice without a play button, try it with your own lines in the workshop.
Yes. After the AI assigns voices, click a character in the workshop's cast list and pick another voice from the library; only that character's lines need to be regenerated.
Yes. The Chinese character voices speak Chinese and eight other languages, and each character keeps one voice in every language. Native foreign voices speak only their own language.
No. Previews on this page and the cast analysis in the workshop are free; credits are charged by characters only when you generate an episode.
Narrow the list with the role and gender filters above and listen through a few. Or paste your script into the workshop, let the AI cast it by persona first, and then swap individual roles.

Paste a script; the AI assigns voices and tags emotion, and you can swap any role with one click.
